"My dreaming friend" / "Sweet dreams I dream of you"

Reivax Camlost

All my dreams I dream of you

Illusive shadow, gone too

soon

when I dance with you, you sing-

High hopes, and crystal dreams

Nothing is as it seems

High hopes and misty dreams

Misty song down mountains I

Fly

Across a room, a glance all sees

everything was meant to be

Across a room, we both see

The sadness in your and my

Eyes

What was, or ever is to be

Cannot picture you with me

What is, but won’t again be seen

The two of us, the music slow

And free

We’ll meet again

My dreaming friend

‘Cross desert air

Or mountains where

We’ll meet again

My fleeing friend

In evening starlight fair

  • Comment from author about the poem: We all have a recurring character in a dream, or recurring dreams. Sometimes there's one person that appears in every dream we have, just in a different costume. I've dreamed of the the same person (completely a figment of my mind) for years and years... And one of my regrets is that I'll never meet her. But I'll always be able to catch a glimpse.
