The Problem With Love

Cy

Love

The problem with love

Is that it was given to humanity.

We take something beautiful,

And replace it with insanity.

It starts off fun,

Then kicks back like a gun

I didn’t know it before,

But it’s love that was killing me.

Love is the killer of man.

Not money, power, or greed.

I was told that love in this life,

Is the one thing that I need.

This wasn’t true,

This “love” left me blue.

It shattered my heart,

And didn’t leave me a piece.

Now as i sit here

With a gun in my lap.

I recall upon this “love”

I so desperately had to have.

With a bang

The gun shot rang.

And my loveless body

Falls to the floor with a crash.
