"A short story" / "I saw the face of mercy"

Reivax Camlost

I saw the face of mercy she was weeping

I saw the face of mercy and she wept

I saw the face of mercy I was sleeping

I saw the tears of mercy and I slept

  • Comment from author about the poem: I often worry myself about repaying dues, repaying kindnesses, evening scores, paying personal debts. Some kindnesses are un-repayable. Some things are priceless. true mercy needs no vindication, no remembrance... It is all too rare, and all to easy to forget. I think we should try to remember.
