Firelight, Fire night

Reivax Camlost

See the dust outlined by the light on the pane

Hear the sounding beat of the night and the rain

Feel the darkness and it’s satin stain

Break away from your life and your love and your chain

Break away

Slam the door in the cold and the frost out of sight

Run down the street all but lost in the night

Beat your hand on your hip in a rythm with fight

Dance in the water with the firelight

Dance

Look at the moon and it’s white winter gleam

Shook at the sight of the street as a dream

Now sing to the sky with the first sunbeam

As evening fades look again and scream

I used to keep to the beat of the every man

Now I sing with the wolves like no-one can

Sing

    1. Check OUT this:
"Slam the door in the cold and the frost out of sight

Run down the street all but lost in the night"

    Maybe?

"Slam the door to the darkness and the frost of the mind

Run down the street and set a firelight"

    2. "The fire fell as we reveled in the night / the raindrops bow to the firelight": Is there a typo ⁉

      😀

Thank you so much, feedback is my ultimate and coveted resource!

I think those verses are great, and applaud your poetic talent!

      I don't know if there's a typo... Hmmm.

Alright, I wrote another poem (just as great as this one, maybe better), that's like a sister poem to this one, using the lines you wrote!

        Will post it tomorrow.
