FOR THE POETS

illia

Writing down the passage of time

Realising im going no where

Just writing like others in the line

A line of hope, a line of glory

Just another poets pathetic story

Never knowing if it will end

Or go on forever

Nothing in my life to treasure

So i go on writing the same old lines

Wishing i could do better

Wishing it was my time

But wishing gets you no where

You have to do it all yourself

Otherwise our beautiful poetic words

Will be left collecting dust upon the shelf

Those wonderful words in ones head

Words to be written down on paper so will they be heard

As for writing in the passage of time

I ask for one thing only

Please read these words out loud

And let this pathetic poet shine

Hi. Just had a thought, about what you said in the earlier message. I didn't writ any poems for nearly 10yrs. That was definitely my writers block moment. But when I got back into writing its like a till receipt that's just rung up a thousand items. If you know what I mean. So I wouldn't worry. A poet always finds inspiration in the most strangest of places. 😊 I'm thinking of getting a Dictaphone as I sleep with pen and paper. Ha ha ha ha 😊
