Steady Rivers

Pterodactyl

Steady river fingers

Twinning through the forest floor

Twisting down the rocky slopes

Searching things of lore

The water never stops and waits

For permissions from the past

Only ever yearning

To meet the ocean at last

My heart has many rivers

Connecting me to you

Twisting through the obstacles

But of this you knew

My love never falters

Never stops, never waits

The spirits of the river know

The twining of our fates

This has always been

And forever will remain

Through the best of times

And even stronger through the pain
