He told her he loved her
That he'd never leave her
He was sixty and she was eighteen
The irony
Her youth killed her
She was scared as fuck
And drank too much
Lost for days in powders and smoke
Poisoned by her thoughts
And taken by her fear
Soon he'd die and she would whisper I love you too.
And lye beside him
as the church bells sing
She'd never leave him.
She was scared as fuck
And drank too much
Lost for days in powders and smoke
Poisoned by her thoughts
And taken by her fear
Father and daughter travelled the world
By little grey specs which told a story
Of a man who's days had run out
And a girl who had far too many she could of shared
