Your face looks like you've fought a thousand wars.
Each scar, divot, bump, ridge, round and edge tell a different story.
A chameleon amidst a cornucopia of colors.
But you ache, you bleed, you take it all and still make it back to kiss my head at night.
The emotions that cross your face are mingling with the light in your eyes and the gloom in your soul.
Your fingers tap on the dashboard,
The counter,
To a song that is laced with the scent of an untold, scar, divot, bump, ridge, round and edge.
But your eyes stare at the wall at night.
Within the brain of you, father, is a thousand small things chalking up.
A vivid streak of color that torments you for moments, second, hours at a time.
Oh, father,
Oh father,
You are found.
