Everything Fades To Nothingness

Emile Dubois

The wounds that used to unite us

Now divide us

Everything fades to nothingness

Now i know why i was a lone child

Who felt like an only child

Yet Parentless and bereft

The only truth is in the artist

Whose focus is not materialism but the human condition

Yes! everything fades to nothingness

the things that made it bearable

Kill us in the end

I see a depth and simplicity in this. A starkness and honesty bourne of great musing and reflection. A poignant piece ..🌹
