A life of dreams.

The Dyslexic Poet

Sometimes the best time's between slumber and sound,

in the 30 minutes gifted after first alarm sound.

just awake to appreciate the sleep that your in,

but peaceful Tranquility allowed to soak in.

The soft summer light feels warm on your face,

this must be the closest feeling to grace.

In awe of the silence that seeps through my doze,

and the dreams where I finally defeated my foes.

In essence this slumber's the life that I choose,

so not just, quite yet, while I'm hitting the snooze.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem is open to interpretation, in a basic sence it's about dreaming and sleep, but more than that about how we live our life sedated and unaware by choice. Hope you like, I'm new to poetry so it's one of my first.

I really liked this. Very well written and almost gave me a lethargic feel.
