Finally

Jeff

Shall I concede my hold on life

give in to Death's embrace

Since peace of mind within myself

can never be replaced

All pleasures I once had for life

are deep within the past

The grip on my own sanity

has started fading fast

I feel I'm destined in this life

to suffer through it all

With misery my only friend

I know I'll take the fall

I've tried so hard to rise above

the heartache life gives out

But nothing seems to remedy

the cause of my own doubt

My self-control is plummeting

with every day I wake

Soon it will be over when

my life I finally take

For Death to me is heaven

compared to staying here

To wake up one more day on earth

is the only thing I fear
