Worlds End

Poeta de Cabra

Why in the hell didn't I heed the warning

Didn't believe a word about global warming

I can hear ice melting, such an eerie sound

In a few minutes I will most certainly drown

Us Polar bears will be like lambs to the slaughter

No sight of any land for miles, it's all under water

I can't see any of my family or my best mate

Hate the thought of them becoming shark bait

I just woke up from my usual six month sleep

Noticed the water was warm and extremely deep

No sign of life here or even over the horizon

Guess they all left when water started rising

Why didn't they wake me or did they simply forget

Must have been in a hurry to prevent getting wet

Really wish now that I had woken a few days early

Soon I'll be under water, just a big lump of berley

Now  I sit here nervously staring death right in the face

I think of the mongrel creatures called the human race

Had no respect for mother nature, so hard to comprehend

Thanks to their selfishness the world's coming to an end

As the last piece of ice melts I let out a loud scream

Sit upright as I wake myself from the terrible dream

Who would think it possible for a full grown Polar bear

To wake with a fright from having an awful nightmare
