Dead Sea

The 2 A.M Writer

Love the waves that pull

Take you down, but make you whole

Curse the moonless sky

Calm waters do none but lie

...

Warm cabin, Log fortified

Tongue twisted, Dead excuses

Broken foundation, Evil eye

Worn out gauze, Day old bruises

...

I'm pulling these walls

Needle tipped and delusion ready

...

Love the waves that pull

Take you down, but make you whole

Curse the moonless sky

Calm waters do none but lie

  • Comment from author about the poem: About just being there in life, but not content. Being stuck or too unmotivated to do anything about your issues, so therefore you build a fake safe space. A "Warm Cabin" if you will.
