Jaguar

WALBERTO DIAZ

I know that you are a Jaguar

and during the night

you make me your prey.

You attack me

and finish me.

You start with a bite

to the neck,

then your thigh

breaks my skeleton.

Your claws tear me to pieces,

and you devour me.

I know that you are a jaguar

and when night falls

anxiously

I wait for your metamorphosis.
