I don't like when we are miles apart

sitting in the same room

I don't like when you feel out of reach

When you are close enough for me to kiss

I don't like when you walk away

or when I don't know what to say

How to sooth you or make you smile

Instead I just sit there silent and wait awhile

Hoping you will come back around

Remember what together we have found

I want to work it out every time

I want you to know I am happy your mine

I don't want to see us ever end

I don't want us to be unable to mend

All the things that can get in the way

All the things in silence we forget to say

Like how much I love you

And I am sorry you are mad

I hold my breath whenever you are away

And breathe again when you return
