From the outside looking in

ShadedSorrow

I sit here

And I know

The words you speak

Aren't meant for me

So I should just go

I flip the pages

Just as you say

I sing the songs

And I read the book

 But I'm not supposed

 To be here anyway

You look out into the crowd

 Telling them their fate

 Whether heavenly or hot

But I know for a fact

 That you cannot

 See me

 I am not really present

 I'm trapped in the present

 My mind is elsewhere

 I truly do care

 What you are saying but

What else is there to say?

 The words you speak

 Just aren't meant for me...
