How do I stop your ever spinning world
To protect you from what you heard
The rumors
the lies
Swirling around you now
I know what you desire
What you want to have
The vision in your head
Why must you deal
With these issues in life
I can't protect you
from the world my dear
I can't alleviate any of the fear
I can make a stand
So you can stand tall
I can pay the lawyers
To be the wall
I can take them down
But it won't change it for you
It can only change what others will do
The next time
The next time
The next time
After our time

I think that when we read autobiographies written a thousand years ago, parents had similar concerns. Every once and a while I see something that a young person does or says and I think yes, the world will go on and good things will happen.
Very well done...great write
