I Don't Regret Us

taylerdk21

When you left me I tired to act

like I didn't care

I tired to pretend that the hurt

I was feeling wasn't there

I made excuses & said

"I'm over you"

But I know deep down

that isn't true

I wish that it didn't have to end

But I know we can never be

together again

Though I still miss you

after all this while

I won't regret anything that

made me smile

A positive poem with mixed feelings portrayed swell. Yes not to regret the smiles occasions better than moping on the bitterness. Great rhyming here that I enjoyed lots. Thumbs up.

Pls do comment out my latest poem too. I'm a new poet here but have been writing poetry since years and readers enjoyed it elsewhere until I found this site and wish to make new poem pals.
