Antenna

The 2 A.M Writer

Got my antenna raised to the sun

But yet it's receiving negative signals

Cloudy sky and gray clay

Got to make the children pay

Whatever did we do?

Whatever did we do?

Whatever did we do?

Burn and slash the fields of hope

Cut down grain of youth and drive

No Children going to play today

Who are we?

Who are we?

Who are we?

  • Comment from author about the poem: How whenever I look at the news and start to think, will me and my friends have a future with how things are going currently? With all the fighting and controversy and political chaos, i really do wonder if we all are gonna be okay
