denise ducey kloeppel

Lost, scared, alone that's how I used to be

Then along came my friend for reasons I yet to see

She pulled me up from the bottom held me strong and tight.

The abuse, the pain that was me she made it alright

she wiped my tears when I was down, held me when I cryed

Praised me for my dreams, my biggest fan when I tryed

She gave me light in my tunnel a reason to live

I learned to trust and believe my soul to give

She taught me to be a mom to love and be true

without her wisdom I don't have a clue.

Rest in peace my beautiful friend

Its only till we meet again.

  • Comment from author about the poem: My best friend my life long soul mate died of lung cancer at 46 but atleast I got to give back to her in the end, I couldn't leave her side. I got "custody" of her 82 year old dad who moved in with us and died a happy man, and not alone.
