Clowned About with You.

kevin browne

so you say it with all the perfect mastery of words
that you so called may have learned with some magic wizardry
the lower class in the upper school you thought you knew it all
standing up beside importance to make you look like something else
passed your degree in science but your philosophy failed in life
with what you think you know and what you think you are really shows
and the armor that you protect but with no reason to have a fight
winning ever time you never lose a word but still lost your might
shining in your suit with crocodiles biting at you shoes
you deserve to raise your glass to your weary life of hope
invading all the privacy of someone's gains and their sacred tunnel of light
that you so easily destroy with what is wrong and what is exactly right
with thoughtless and unknown territories facing you alone and scared
but still alive aren't you in thinking that you have to have a go
so here's my view on you and what I want to say but its true
that I understand myself more than what you think you do
hearing through those years and living with adversity and glue
every single word I heard you say I immediately knew it wasn't true
because not only did I see through all this knowledge of yours
personality was a character that clowned about with you
made you look a fool even though you never understood
it didn't matter anyway love was lost I knew it never would
you showed yourself off to be the best of all but fell over every day
so I win the battle that you somehow seem to have blown away

This sound like the speaker has had it with someone highly educated and full of themselves. Or --- this could be looking in mirror and analyzing one's life.

it could be perceived in both lights, Augustus. in reality, it's about a female friend who I used to know. she has been to many non-educating books and has fallen into of misinformed information about this life we all life in and had caused many arguments about our real facts of importance within us all. It's such a shame when someone thinks they have all the answers within a short space of time. I found reading books in the wrong area can delude people into a different realm of thinking. I hope this carried across in my writing about her. thank for you interest.

I was fairly sure it was about someone else and you confirmed that. Yes, even our educational system today can change the way our young perceive history by leaving out facts and contexts and giving only one point of view. Thanks for taking the time to give an explanation.
