Little Boy

denise ducey kloeppel

My youngest son so loving and kind

your defiantly strong and have a set mind

you amaze me Dailey with your wonder and your dreams

lets not forget your naughtiness and all your schemes

you make my heart feel such intense pride

my love for you so deep, that I could never hids

when you read to me at night so eager to share and love

i get down on my knees and thank the lord above

ill always be by your side and be your biggest fan

even when you've grown up and become a loving man

my love for you so strong makes my eyes fill with tears

your my little boy I'll always need you near

so when your grown and life kicks you down

dont worry my love I'll always be around

stand tall and be proud of who and what you are

because  your my little boy, your my brightest star

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is for my youngest son joey who I've always called little boy, he's the sweetest and most loving child I've met. He is the youngest of four boys so sometimes gets lost in the shuffle but one smile from him and I stop what I'm doing and I'm lost in him.

I too have a youngest baby boy so I could relate to this doting sentimental poem in super cool rhyme wow. Yes we should thank God for children are such blessings. Thumbs up.

Pls do check out my latest poem too. I'm a new poet here but have been writing poetry since years and readers enjoyed it elsewhere until I found this site and wish to make new poem pals.
