Be quick my sweet child
Be shrewd and go back
Back into the prehistoric nebula of being.
A ghastly creek of lost souls and broken hearts.
A face sits by the window. (She waits)
Curtains of black silk cover her being. (She waits)
And hide the divinity of her eyes. (We weep for her)
They hide the universe inside her. (We weep for her)
You open your eyes and misery smiles.
It taunts you, gleefully (Irony, maybe?)
We all get what we deserve;
Except for those who get what they paid for. (They sing!)
A fat cat, a wad of cash and a big car.
A beauty. She’s blonde. She’s thin. She’s gorgeous. (We weep)
We all get what we deserve;
Except for those who get what they paid for.
He grabs her ass and his bulge begins to show.
Decadence in a hollow, old, fat body.
He pulls her hair lightly. (Such insolence)
She’s a slave to wealth and a whore for opulence. (And we weep for her)
He leads her to the car.
And opens the door for her. (What a gentleman)
He graces her exposed back.
As her smile slowly fades.
Be witty and regress, goddess.
Go back to innocence and lust.
Go back to love and respect.
Go back to dignity.
Go back to before you sold yourself for a shiny necklace and a shinier cage.
