Moment in Time

irishred

Moment in Time

Nimble fingers fly up and down

Matching every changing sound.

Pausing every now and then

like lightening off again.

Rosin glistens in the stages light

As off the bow hair it flies.

Bow and fingers move in unison

Player and music become one.

Melodies float engulfing the space

Eyes close, ears open listeners embrace.

Emotions well, smiles of joy appear

Hearts are filled, happiness comes through tears.

The listeners souls become intertwined

If only for a brief moment in time.

I sometimes close my eyes to listen to a violin solo. At times tears flow. Nicely done.

Thank you. Joshua Bell and Yo Yo Ma can bring tears of joy.
