My Friend

More Medic

I am a happy person.

I laugh; I joke; I smile.

I like to be alone.

I like to lay on my back and think.

Sometimes my friend joins me.

We think together.

We relax; We sleep; We eat.

My friend keeps me company.

She always knows when I need her.

My friend cares for me.

She always makes sure I save my energy.

"Why do that if you can't finish it?"

My friend is smart.

Sometimes my friend tells me not to go to school.

She knows it stresses me out.

"Why go if it makes you feel bad?"

My friend knows best.

Today I am not a happy person.

I won't laugh; I won't joke; I won't smile.

My friend opened the window for me.

I thought I locked it...

"Why stay if you aren't happy?"

My friend is right.

I should go.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I write whatever pops into my head. Today, while sitting in Macroeconomics, this is what came to me. I would tell you what it's about, but poetry is in the art of the beholder.
