Human am I or Inhumane Poem, by mkschnoe, at My poetic side

I have been searching for someone

for my story - walk my path but never feel my pain

fill in the empty holes avoiding the inevitable feeling of being alone

I walk in a crowd of forty, but I see no soul radiate

Am I seeking with my eyes, and closing my heart?

I feel no attraction pulling my energy into yours

numb to society they are, however standing awake to distraction

but we are diversion- blind to our own

and knowing more about others we have never longed for

but you still question why you are desolate

are we wrong to isolate - but too long and you will lose yourself

whose timing?

We know an awful lot about a lot of people but not the important stuff, just fluff not worth our time. We long for more meaning and substance, especially spiritual. -----Well anyway it got me thinking and I enjoyed the poem. Take care.
