The Jersey Devil

moontigerntn

Well something of a Blair Witch documentary

The three of us on dark, dark October night

We parked our car and took our flashlights

Deep into the pitch black woods trying to prove

Or disprove the legend of the ghost man

Well maybe it's just the idea of it all but I do

Feel like I'm being watched, don’t you feel it to

Wait a minute, stop, look and listen don't you hear

That, it sounds like it's coming from over there

And all around us, I said hello is there anyone

There, you said boy do you really wanna know

Well I don't know about you but why don't we

Just forget about this and go home but she

Became speechless and as we turned around we

Came face to face with THE JERSEY DEVIL...

I never ran so fast in all my life trying to make

It back to the car and the old dirt road and to be

Honest with you I forgot all about them 'cuz it's

Now I know there are things in the darkness

Wicked and abnormal, thank God for watching

Over us but I don't think I'll ever sleep again...

Oooh Jeepers creepers and now here we are

Again after twenty years going down that same

Ole dirt road and I'm just sitting on pins and

Needles, you’d think me crazy if I told you why

Sometimes you just have to prove yourself wrong

Because after all these years you still can't believe

You saw what you saw with your own two eyes

And but if I saw what I think I really saw well

I can't believe I'm still alive and if you don't

Believe me just go ahead and ask them, ask them

The night from out of the twilight zone, the night

We came face to face with THE JERSEY DEVIL

I remember it as tho it were yesterday even to this

Day I still have nightmares of that dark, dark October

Night, the night we came face to face with the

JERSEY DEVIL and ran, ran for our lives!
