The store in which I worked
as a clueless teen,
my father brought me in
with siblings working too.
Then I saw him sitting
he overlooked the store
he drew me like a magnet
I fell for him so hard.
He must have been so patient
to get one thing he wants.
I believed he loved me
my baby, I believed
To my father's chagrin
he made me quit the store,
my baby had been drug dealing;
blinded I had sobbed.
I believed his lies
that baby that was his,
for he bought me rings
one night he had returned.
He returned for me
it made me love him more,
the truth I didn't see
my baby couldn't love me.
He knew what he had done
so he abandoned me,
my father saw the bum
he knew that he'd hurt me.
