The truth hurts

SilentLaugh

The truth is like a knife

Cutting you away piece by piece

The truth may hurt

But its pure

Like the love of a mother

Or the tears from another day

The truth is like beauty

Pretty hurts, but I guess that's what it takes

To be pure

And true

Because the truth hurts.

Recently I came to grips with something truly despicable I had done in the past in a foolish and selfish moment. And oh how cutting the truth was! You are soooo right. Nicely done.
