Dusky Dreams of Yesterday

Melody

I

Dusky dreams of yesterday, in twilight's faint disguise,

yet, wait in silence patiently, 'neath sleeping violet eyes...

Skyways welcome dreamers, through archways cloudy mist,

where dusky dreams of yesterday, praise with

nightly kiss...

II

Youthful wiles, and tearful smiles, reach back from yesterday,

as comely maiden dances, through songs that ever plays...

Face so fair, without compare, soft eyes a violet-blue,

black scented hair of lavender, with

kisses wet like dew...

III

Laughter echoes timelessly, in twilight's faint disguise,

'neath twinkling stars forever, behind sleeping violet eye...

Rosy cheek'd and smiling, impatient ghost so fair,

s skyways welcome strangers, through

an archways misty air...

IV

Dawning's rays are breaking, as I open violet eyes,

as dusky dreams of yesterday, wait

twilight's faint disguise...
