We failed at the first attempt of purpose,
Now, we must get off the floor to try again.
Discouraged by the failure from success,
It can be hard to lift ourselves up.
The second time around can be better,
Learning through the shortcomings from before.
Use the knowledge of wisdom to succeed in life,
Setting a goal that will help you prevail for the test.
Don’t surrender to the failings from the past,
Quitting will lead to paths of regret.
Fight for your right for dreams,
And your life will discover bliss.

Great job on this poem! So true about your last two lines. Great job!
Great advice in poetic style.
It is a bit didactic,Augustus, don't you think?
And Life is NOT That Simple...⁉
Instructive, yes. Boring, no. I was just reviewing goal setting for part of a poem I was writing to honor one of my sons.
thank you everyone for your kind words!
