What is loneliness?
when no one really cares,
and no one is really there
you cry and hug yourself
since there's nobody else.
What is loneliness?
when everyone is gone
and nights are really long
you hurt right until dawn.
What is loneliness?
when you are looking in
where no one else has been
and that's inside your head
while inside you are dead.
What is loneliness?
when no one is around,
you're standing on the ground
while always feeling down.

Poignant and soulful expressing the solitary feel very well and lyrical. Loneliness it's a very poetic topic and quite common so a lot of people can relate to this. Kudos for the rhyme scheme and meter.
