Kieran Garnett

Cold and afraid,

I have dug my grave.

My heart races,

Memories and faces.

The lightening cracks,

The last branch of hope snaps.

I am alone and I am afraid,

for tonight beneath the stars my bed is made.

An unchallenged hunger is allowed to fade.

Moving and poignant . The wording so poetic it ought to cheer. May the last branch not snap dear.

Pls do comment out my latest poem too. I'm quite a new poet here but have been writing poetry since years and readers enjoyed it elsewhere or got sth from it until I found this site and wish to make new poem pals.
