TAKE ME HOME

illia

Take me back to the times of innocence,

Times of joy and play

Could you do that for me?

Could you carry me over a fence?

so I can be who I am and no one else

But there we can stay

Would you do for me what I would do for you,

Would you carry me if need be.

Will you stay with me too?

I would for you, as you would for me

That's what friends, lovers and partners do

That I could, can, will and would do just for you.

Take me away to times of joy and laughter,

Remember all the fun and the morning after.

Take me back to memory lane

You need a blast from the past as well

Would you let me take you?

I promise I will cause you no harm, no shame

Our past has meaning here now

We can't let go of each other

I will carry you, I will hold you

Together we will never cause each other pain.
