The Goddess

Rosethebrokenhearted

I'd like to be the goddess,
You dream about when you're soundlessly sleeping.

Or maybe even the goddess,
You think about when your mind seems empty.

I'd like to be the goddess,
Who's pictures you stalk while I'm asleep at night.

When the truth is,
She is effortlessly the beauty, and I'm the beast.

Flawless in all she does,
She'll come to take you away.

Imperfect in every form,
It's not a shock that you would be so willing to leave.

I'd like to be the goddess,
That hides behind dazzled eyes.

But the truth is,
I am not, nor will I ever be.

Imperfection, is just a part of me.

We should all embrace our imperfections, since nobody is perfect, but this should not be at the expense of our self confidence or worth. Our imperfections are what makes us unique, and that is a thing of beauty - much like your writing. Thank you for writing such true and raw words xx
