Your words

Words are the world to me

Something to be said

And never to see

You throw them about like

they are meaningless

Wondering why it is

I might digress

Wondering why

my pain still lingers

That I write it all down

Some in broken fingers

All the words you may use

to win me to your side

All the words you choose

Even when you lied

How every one meant everything

How every one's the thought you bring

Every word a new creation

Hanging on that last conversation

That is the effect

of all your words you know

The ones you so carelessly throw

Wondering why they mean so much

They are what I love you see

The words mean everything to me

I write them down every day

They influence me in every way

Your words can cause gaping wounds

Or be the ones to make me swoon

All I know is how carelessly

you throw them around

But in your words is where

true meaning is found

I listen to the words that you say

Everyone every day

So please speak them carefully dear friend

The wrong ones could bring certain end

Such truth in these words - I completely agree! Whomever said 'sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me' was so very, very wrong. Often our most brutal weapons are our mouths - the bullets; those words we hurl so carelessly at others. Thank you for a lovely piece of work 😀 xx

I appreciate your passion for the language. The way that you describe how people just throw their words around couldn't be more true. Love the writing, however my own personal criticism would be to either add some punctuation, or to break the lines up differently, I understand that the poem is about the words, however it reads sort-of broken as is. Otherwise excellent work!!
