Servitude

Daniel

What am I in this never ending game
A single drop of water in a downpour of rain
I follow the flow without resistance or complaint
Only to repeat this process again and again

Are we born to follow without question
We take direction with no reasons told
Yet we hold tight onto our chains
Fearful they'll break, too scared to be bold

So as we walk in ever straightening lines
Towards an end hidden from captive sight
We accept our bondage with frightening ease
As we accept without question our captivity

Some direction is good and others I can do without. I like it!

I guess we find some comfort in it's structure, but at the same time turn a blind eye to it
