Acceptance

Daniel

One foot then another and so it goes
As we move on to our next anecdote
We paint our lives like pictures to be hung
Or a story to be told or a song to be sung

We play the hero and villain in life's little play
Are we just a shadow puppet looking for a face
We long to be seen we scream to be heard
Just to feel the spotlight just to know it's glow

So we play our part in this circus this play
As we continue to march in our own parade
Just one foot then another and so it goes
Hoping to feel that light in our own reality show

Yes reality show, could relate to that line in this awesome poem well rhymed and super to read. Reminds of the shakespearean quote that we r all actors and this world a stage. Kudos for the poetry,.

U r most welcome to comment under my latest poem too . I'm quite a new poet here but have been writing poetry since years and readers enjoyed it elsewhere or got sth from it until I found this site and wish to make new poem pals.

I love this one Daniel, one of my favourite's of yours. Very pertinent in current society and true of the social attitude of the day. It's good that some of us can see through the charade and better still that you produce work like this about it! Thank you for this piece 🙂 xx
