Witch

Many people tell the story

Of an evil woman’s glory

Eating children, everyday

Lock your windows and stay away

She will come and you will be gone

Nothing about this that can be done

Brother sleeps in room across

Then the wind opens my doors

This is when I see the witch

Ugly woman, evil litch

She has come for me as well

No longer hear, I churches bell

I have dagger underneath,

Since when is metal not relief?

But this little dagger will let me live

The reason why I must believe

She thinks I am sleeping, what a fool

I understand, this witch is cruel

I look around but she is not there

I hear a whisper:”Young child beware”

“As soon as you slip the dagger”

“You will become the witch and stagger”

And that is when I turned around,

And pierced the witch in her full gown

She screamed and rattled just a bit

Then turned into a little kid,

My hands now grow and body changes,

And that is when I see the witches

That terrorized this town for long

I am somewhere deep, where I belong

What’s worse than that? I see my brother

He is standing shocked but it won’t matter

No longer can I feel my love for him

So I just smile a little grim

Now it is time to say good bye

This little child will have to die
