Till we meet again

Daniel

photograph is all that's left
Just one small moment in time
A memory of a life once lead
A chapter in this story of mine

It's too long since I heard you speak
And i strain to remember it's sound
Your memory is so distant to me
But I still wish that you were around

It was how I felt when you hugged me
The smell of your dated perfume
The sound of your laugh was infectious
And how it would lighten any mood

But times not kind and memories fade
And the years are passing fast
And so I rely on that photograph
Until in heaven we meet again
