did it turn night and day when I didn't see
slept away in a fairy tale that became a vision of you and me
longing for your arms to wrap around my life
when I found the honey they bees stole my heart
didn't matter anyway, the pain of love fell apart
I hear the voice that once whispered lightly in my ear
saying "don't ever make me miss you" with such love
dreaming of it all coming back to me but I was lost alone
crawling along the city streets when I broke down on my knees
wondering what was going on and who just passed me by
threw a dime in my pocket and pulled it out with my change
she got a lot of love on her hands, she keeps telling my why
why would she be leaving on such a beautiful day
