To Relish Pain

poetboy123

Seared flesh and raw veins

Oh my to relish pain

So tart and saccharine

With waves like an ocean

Thou art I send my heart

With blessings upon thee

Truly an act of art

That sets me free

Oh my to relish pain

Even with nothing to gain

It is no stranger in my home

As it is written in this tome

Yet on a sunny day, bright and clear

I remember those who feared

Your cold embrace and dark leisure

As they drank your thorough philter

However lit within the shadows

Are those upon the golden floe

Carried up above the rain

Oh my how can anyone relish pain
