I see that mask you wear each day,
smiles and jokes hides a real you away.
A very funny man they say of you,
but underneath you bite and chew.
Weary as you rise from off your bed,
to greet another day of simple dread.
A large breath inhaled as you meet,
Your audience with smile and greet.
Adjust your mask or else they'll see,
what's hidden there to you and me.
How do I know these things I say,
Because I wear the same mask each day.

Great job and to the point. Some days, like today for me, I would just like to stay home. Weather is bad. But, I will grab my coffee and head out as always, with a smile, hoping my mood will improve.
Thanks WBL

For those kind words
I think most people think that just because your smiling your not in pain, and i think thats the hardest part. It's so ingrained to act in such a way, but secretly you hope someone can see the sadness in your eyes. maybe then you'll be a little less alone. Beautiful and honest. Thank you.
Thank you for those thoughtful
And kind words..
