A widow’s walk beside a lonely sea
is where I search the silver main alone
I never search for barques that heel to lee
but for a wanton nymph upon her throne
A perfect love is what I always sought
To find her would redeem my hopeless soul
With sincere zeal I hoped but seldom thought
my noble dream could ever make me whole
In the domain of fools I dwell in dread
With sheep’s eyes gazing at the vasty deep
I see my own derisive sneer instead
Narcissus will condemn me to his keep
Our self reveals are festered thorns that hold
the painful truths and best conceal the gold

I love this one! I am quite partial to a bit of Texas Hold'em myself, but this piece can be interpreted in so many different ways. I love th3e references to Neptune and Narcissus, a great job! xx
