Drowning

MaxWritesPoems

It's not fair.

We're all going mad in this world,

yet some handle it

better than others.

Some people stay

on the docks

as they watch

the rest of us drown.

I'm one of the ones

that drown.

I watch as people stare at us,

and I watch as some people manage

to reach the surface,

and others learn to breathe

underwater.

All while I stay put,

while the clear liquid

fills my lungs.
