All Movement Stopped

Kurt Philip Behm

Like children, pages
  drift away adolescent,
  refusing what I offer

Defiant
in their questions,
beyond all answers in their parting

Forcing what’s left, to live trapped
  in the abandoned distance
  between us now

All movement stopped
and estranged, from the very things
  we used to know

    Ouch.

    Writers block?

the certain inevitability of family turmoil to some level...?

The uselessness of the shells of both of these relationships after the pain?

That is what I got out of it, despite what you meant.

    In any case,

    Perfect.
