Eternal Eclipse

poetboy5454

I remember the days

As they passed like a haze

[Or does it only seem like that now?]

When Hopes and Dreams kept me afloat

When I stood for them as their denote

Nothing can stay the same, as darkness has eclipsed

And I am no longer betwixt

Dreams are simply a gray cloud

Pouring over you with its hopes as a shroud

Yet man is glass, and when it breaks

It is never in one piece, not without its aches

I enjoy this despair and pain, for it is all that’s real

And until the next bright sunny day, there’s nothing left to feel

Sorry to break it to you, however those hopes are just a wild dream

This is what I believe and deem

As I live in my nightmares

Bathe in my fears

I hold the weight, which none can bare

And of which is my tears

Yet here I am continuing to write

Beyond the dying reaching of the light

Emotion flooding my gates, attempting to break through my endeavor

A path I will now travel on [But-] forever

I will utilize the sorrow and rage

Freeing us from our own cage

Sometimes joy truly prospers

It will never fill the fissure

Of all the pains of time

I remember the path I was began to climb

But the past is my regret, and the future worrisome

For this present is where we will blossom
