I built a wooden cradle it’s made to rock and glide
And when it all was finished I wrote this lullaby
I sang it to my angel when ever she would cry
Who’s my little who-zee who’s my turtle-dove?
Who’s my little angel who’s the one I love?
In the summer when the sun shines
In the spring when flowers grow
In the fall when leafs are falling
In the winter in the snow
Who’s my little who-zee- sent down from above?
Who’s my little angel- who’s the one I love?
I built a wooden coffin-may my angel Rest in peace
Now I sit beside the cradle- and I rock it as I weep
death of an angel
