I tell myself each day,
And on my knees I pray,
Please help me to do this!
Despite my doubts and fears,
To hear my students cheer;
Give me peace and bliss.
Play me classical music,
To celebrate what went well.
I’m awake, mindful, fit,
I am paying close attention,
Be gone apprehension.
Hoorah! They can spell!

- Comment from author about the poem: This is my third, humble, installment and poetic contribution to My Poetic Side. This Xmas season I am swamped with paperwork, assignments, reflections, and portfolio building. I have ceased work, to write this simple, succinct, synoptic poem, which reflects my own teaching. I sure hope you like it. Photo courtesy of: bestonlineschools.website/tag/from
