Morning's Light

EmmaR1

Morning's Light

I’m sorry you had to go

And I wasn't there in time to stop you

So you set yourself free

In yesterday’s morning light

And i won’t ever be able to look at the same

Couldn’t you have just come home

Told me where you were going

Because I'd like to think I could've helped

Even when i know i couldn’t have

I need someone to blame

And who better than myself

It’s all calm and ok now

But I still miss your presence

They way you could always make anyone smile under and circumstances

Or how you didn’t care what people thought

And how talented you were

I wonder about you everyday

I think I need to go away too

Just a break for the broken

Not as far as you went

Because ads much as I love and miss yo

I can’t bring myself to go that far over the edge

You were my healer, my holder, my fighter, and my lover

Now I know you held the weight of the world on you shoulders

Because I’ve had that same responsibility for some time now since you've been gone
